Wholesale supply · Monterey Park, CA

Supplied by
the yard,
not the aisle.

OneSource Depot is a wholesale distributor of building materials, flooring, stone, tile, hardware and industrial supplies. We buy from domestic and international manufacturers and supply contractors, retailers and construction companies — by the case, the pallet or the truckload.

2 × 4 1½ × 3½ Nominal size — actual size, dressed

Nominal is not actual.

Framing lumber is sold by its rough size, not the size it ends up. A 2 × 4 is 1½ inches by 3½ inches once it has been planed. A 1 × 6 is ¾ by 5½. A 4 × 4 post is 3½ inches square. Every quotation we issue states which dimension it means — a take-off built on nominal figures and bought on actual ones is a wall that does not close.

From list to load

How an order runs.

Four stages, in writing, every time. Nothing moves on a verbal instruction, and no line ships without the price basis and the freight term stated on paper.

Order docketStocked and indent lines

  1. 01

    List

Send the schedule: item, quantity, unit and required date. A photograph of a sample or a specification sheet works. A brand name and a colour is not a specification.

  2. 02

    Source

Stocked lines are reserved against the yard. Lines we do not hold are quoted from the manufacturer, with the lead time stated rather than estimated.

  3. 03

    Confirm

You receive an itemised quote: unit, quantity, price basis, freight term and validity period. Substitutions only by written agreement.

  4. 04

    Dispatch

Delivery or collection is booked against the confirmed date. The paperwork travels with the load — packing list, bill of lading where it applies, invoice basis.

Stone & surfaces

Slabs are bought by the bundle, not by the photograph.

Marble, granite and quartzite are natural materials, and two slabs from the same block will differ in tone, vein and porosity. We quote against a bundle, and where the project needs it, against a selected slab so the buyer sees the stone that will actually arrive rather than a picture of a similar one.

  • MarbleCarrara, Calacatta, Statuario and Nero varieties. Polished or honed.
  • GraniteAbsolute black, speckled and veined. Polished, flamed or brushed.
  • QuartziteHard and heavily veined, often mistaken for marble. Polished and honed.
  • TravertineFilled or unfilled. Honed, tumbled or brushed.
  • Tile & paversPorcelain, ceramic and natural-stone paving in modular formats.

Terms of trade

Written down,
not implied.

Wholesale goes wrong at the margins — a freight term nobody named, a return accepted on cut material. These are the terms we work to. Account-specific terms are agreed in writing before the first order.

Standard terms — confirm on the quotation for your account
TermWhat it means
Quotation Itemised, in writing, with a stated validity period. A price given on the telephone is an indication and is not held.
Payment terms Agreed per account before the first order. New accounts usually begin prepaid or payment-on-delivery until a trading history exists.
Freight Quoted per shipment as collect, prepaid-and-added, or delivered. The basis is named on the quote, never assumed.
Returns Stocked material in original packaging, by prior arrangement and inside an agreed window. Cut, opened or special-order material is not returnable.
Damage & claims Noted on the delivery document at the point of receipt. Concealed damage reported in writing, with photographs, promptly.
Substitution Only by written agreement. A different manufacturer is a different product, even at the same nominal size.

One more thing

We do not publish prices, stock levels or lead times on this site. They move, and a number that is right on Tuesday is a complaint on Friday. Enquiry gets you the current figure in writing, which is the only figure worth acting on.

Next step

Send the list.
We will quote the lines.

A schedule, a take-off, a drawing or a photograph of a sample is enough to start. If a line is ambiguous we will ask about it rather than guess at it.
